Only as good as the products you order

It took them a long time (5 days) to confirm payment, but they've stated that on their website so that wasn't a big issue. Once the order was processed, it arrived in Perth pretty speedily, with an eParcel tracking number that actually worked on Australia Post's website. So this part of the transaction was all very good. Oh, and the Xmas special meant that I didn't have to pay postage on 3 items or more.

My disappointment is only with the products themselves. I ordered an 8gb SDHC Kingston card, a Spin Duster and a 2m HDMI cable. The Kingston card is the only item I'm fully happy with- it was unopened, in original packaging etc, which is really what you'd expect anyway. The HDMI cable came in a plastic sleeve- I'm not too fussed by that, nor the fact that it looked about 1.5m long at best- it was just disappointing that I saw no improvement in visual quality or audio quality (audio actually became softer). The Spin duster was in an old, slightly damaged box, unsealed, and the hairs on one of the brush heads were all crushed flat on one side. The whole thing just had the feel of a customer returned product. Performance was poor as well- there is no static to pick up dust, as the shoppingsquare website said- it just swirls it into the air. In a way, I guess you get what you paid for, but I still feel that I got even less than my already lowered expectations.

So overall, it's as I've said- the experience is only as good as the products you order. Otherwise, ShoppingSquare does seem to be pretty efficient in getting your order off to you.
