The A460 is an imposter!

Strengths: Just the low price tag

It is good to be on a budget, but trying to buy a technically advanced product with a really low budget in mind does not work for all and sundry. However, it is quite common to get attracted to budget cameras as they tend to look quite a lot like their expensive counterparts but can only be differentiated from the good cameras once you begin using them. The Canon PowerShot A460 is just one such budget camera which manages to look good but does not walk the talk.

The only thing worth considering when buying a point-and-shoot variety digital camera is the quality of the camera. On that front, the Canon PowerShot A460 falls horribly short and does not do justice to most images. The problem starts with the amount of background noise it picks up and that can be a real bummer. Even on the size front, the A460 is stuck in the middle…it is neither too slim, nor is it very large.

The bottom line is that the A460 is not recommended for anyone…even though it is one of the cheaper models around. There are many better cameras which might cost a few dollars more but help you preserve your priceless memories in good color! So don’t worry too much about the fact that you might be loosing a bargain when you skip the A460…you will be doing yourself a favor and saving a lot of red eye and noisy images which you can not understand at all!
