CanoScan LiDE 25 does not make the cut at all

Strengths: Very very reasonably priced

Weaknesses: Quality is poor…it is a waste of whatever little money you spend on it

True to its name, the Canon CanoScan LiDE 25 is really light and manages to offer a flatbed scanning feature at an unbelievable price. The best part is that even though the pricing of the flatbed scanner is not very high, the quality of output manages to be of decent quality (provided you use it with a lot of care and attention) and that makes the CanoScan rate quite high in the scanner market.

Like other low priced product, the CanoScan LiDE also falls prey to a common problem of using the price tag as an excuse for its poor quality. On regular scanning you will find that the CanoScan does not really give very high quality out put and this makes the scanner useless for the very same category it is targeting and that is the graphic designers' market.

CanoScan is thus, most likely to be bought by aspiring students who are on a shoestring budget and it is highly recommended that you put in a few dollars more and buy a better scanner as the quality of the LiDE from Canon is not going to impress you too much. The most common problem which is there with the printer is that it does not give true colors which can make the entire objective of scanning a failed effort.
