Strengths: Very unique fragrant tones, classy packaging

Weaknesses: Does not last very long and not suitable for those who like soft floral tones

The bottle of this new Elizabeth Arden is more akin to the name of the perfume (Mediterranean) than anything else and the round-yet-oval blue bottle gives you the feeling of swimming in an infinite pool of fragrant water. The perfume has some very unique and hard-to-get tones which give it an exclusive feel and though you can feel the base fragrance of sandalwood and amber with just the right bit of musk, it is difficult to identify the unique tones overlaying it.

The exotic fragrances of Mediterranean include magnolias, orchids and mandarin but there is a fruity note of plum which gives it zing and makes it suitable for day wear. The perfume is not very heavy and thus it does not last for very long. It is best used during day time when you are stepping out for a couple of hours.

As an Elizabeth Arden product, Mediterranean has a very good quality finish to it but some people might not like the combination perfume too much since it does not border on being either floral or fruity. In fact, the wooden tones give Mediterranean a bit of a masculine tone which is not something many women appreciate. Anyways, if it is something new and exotic which you are looking for, then Mediterranean is a good match and quite impressive.
