A thin sliver of fantastic mobile phone technology: RAZR V9

Strengths: Very slim, good screen size, excellent mobile phone performance

Weaknesses: Broader than other phones, navigation menu could do with some improvements

It seems like most mobile phones are banking heavily on offering a fashion accessory to users rather than just mobile phones which enable you to talk. The new RAZR2 V9 offers from Motorola breaks all rules of convention and offers a very stylish phone which is so thin that it is unbelievable. The functionality of the RAZR2 gives something to write home about.

The V9 phone gives you an interface which is fast and allows you access the user interface and the experience is very enjoyable. Though the navigation menu is not very well planned, you don’t really mind it in the long run since you are able to run through the entire menu quite easily. The large sized screen makes viewing of photographs and other graphic elements fun. You do wish that Motorola would improve the quality of the camera a bit as well, but then what the heck.

The rubberized back is meant to offer shock proofing of the phone but to some it might look a bit of a let down after the nice metallic face of the RAZR V9, it really depends on how you look at it. Though the screen is very generously proportioned, the V9 might actually be too large to fit into standard mobile phone cases so you might want to consider that at the time of purchase. The value-for-money component is definitely there and RAZR series in not one to be ignored.
