Upon first plugging in the Philips Micro+ 5000 HQ5426 Shaver, you’ll be a little wary of its power; the sound you hear won’t sound realistically strong enough to accomplish the desired clean shave results. However, this is deceiving, as you’ll come out with a smooth face every time.
While many men have in the past preferred foil shavers for that smooth feel and found that triple head shavers tend to leave them with a bit of stubble, the HQ5426 does no such thing. Much like a foil shaver, the Philips Micro+ 5000 will leave smooth skin in its wake. No water or shaving cream is required.
Because the Philips HQ5426 shaver is a plug-in unit, you never have to worry about recharging a battery or running out of battery life at an inopportune time. However, the downside to this feature is that there is no operation without an outlet, meaning that you can’t shave in a bind. One other negative aspect is that, aside from the fact that the shaver sounds like it is lacking in power, it is still quite loud and annoying, so you might want to blast a little music or television in the background to drown it out.
The Philips Micro is a very basic multi-head shaver, without all the amenities of some of the available models out there, which have options to do just about anything except dye your hair! However, for the price, it is an exception shaver that you can afford to replace should it only last a couple of years (many models with more features never last any longer and are quite expensive to replace).
If you don’t need a battery-powered unit on the go, the Philips Micro+ 5000 HQ5426 Shaver is a highly recommended purchase for both value and close shaving quality.
