The Canon PowerShot S2 IS digital camera is a great option for anyone looking for a new digital camera this year. With so many cameras on the market, it takes some research to find the one that will work the best for your needs.

The Canon PowerShot has 5.0 Megapixel which gives you a crisp clean picture, which is exactly what you are looking for when you purchase a digital camera. The zoom lens is great for capturing distance shots and the stabilizer gives you better control. If you are like many people and enjoy having the ability to shoot full motion movies, then you will love this camera and the high quality movies it produces. It is equipped to handle a wide variety of scenes.

Have you ever brought a camera and when you were ready to download the images it proved to be just one big hassle? You won’t have this problem with the Canon PowerShot. It has a Print/Share Button for 'one push' printing and downloading of images straight from the camera. This makes the Canon PowerShot one of the simplest and easiest cameras around.

One downside to the Canon PowerShot is that it includes a 16MB Secure Digital (SD) memory card with the S2 so you will probably want to buy a bigger one. You just really don’t have enough memory space with this one.
The “My Colors” feature lets you highlight and even swap colors right on the camera which is a wonderful addition to an already exceptional camera.
