Where is the 'Pleasure'?

Strengths: Nice packaging

Weaknesses: Expensive, below average fragrance with confusing tones

Pleasures was one of the perfumes which I picked up without even going through the tester and lived to regret it. The fact that it belonged to Estee Lauder was definitely the selling point to me as I have been very happy with previous products from the same company and the stylish yet understated elegance of the bottle caught by fancy. The fragrance within the bottle, however, was a totally different story.

There is no doubt in my mind that Pleasures is meant to be a soft, all day fragrance which is predominantly floral. The interspersed fruity tones rock the boat and the feel of the fragrance is downhill from then onwards. Simply put, Pleasures is a combination of slick marketing coupled with a very average product. The perfume does have lasting power and you might struggle to get rid of it through out the day!

Somehow, Pleasures does not connect with the wearer mostly due to the somewhat strange aromatic combination. Did I mention that Pleasures by Estee Lauder is also one of the most expensive perfumes I have bought? That makes me feel worse actually and I would strongly recommend that anyone buying a perfume should only do so after going through the tester and ensuring that you feel a connection with it. Otherwise, you are going to end up with a nice bottle all a few regrets!
