Not sure if the Mitac Mio C520 is the perfect device for anyone

Strengths: Large comfortable screen, loads of features and reasonably priced

Weaknesses: Core function of route calculation is not accurate…what more can we say?

The Mio C520 is a portable GPS device which sends out mixed signals to users. Don’t get me wrong, the Mitac Mio is quite well designed and is probably one of the sleekest GPS units to be around but the core function of a GPS unit which is to give the right directions are not very accurate. The large screen lets you navigate your way around the system quite well….the icons are intuitive and there are many extra features which give you tremendous value for money.

Like most advanced GPS systems, the Mitac Mio C520 comes with speech-to-text conversions, Bluetooth and a very comfortably designed touch screen. Like I said earlier, the calculation of the route is what matter the most in a GPS system and the Mitac Mio C520 does not satisfy users on that front and that is why it might not be wise to recommend this unit without any issues.

If you are still keen on the Mitac Mio then it might be worthwhile to mention that the unit is very reasonably priced for the features and the comfortable large screen which it offers. The toughest part for the Mio C520 is to be able to beat the competing GPS devices which happen to be better than this the Mitac on the core aspect of navigation and route calculation. My personal recommendation would be to skip the Mitac Mio C520 and check out the other devices on offer.
