Strengths: New improved interface

Weaknesses: No real major application improvement, expensive, and resource hungry

CorelDraw software is not child's play. That is the conclusion I came to after tinkering with the CorelDraw Graphics Suite X3 which does have some excellent softwares but it is not made for the amateur and you should only buy this suite if you have some understanding of photo-editing softwares. Having said this, the CorelDraw Graphics Suite X3 is a powerful tool which can help turn out some really professional graphic pieces.

CorelDraw does face a lot of competition from Adobe PhotoShop and that is due to the many propriety features of CorelDraw and because CorelDraw requires a lot more computer resources than Photoshop. The features of the X3 Suite however are vastly improved from previous versions and for the CorelDraw enthusiast, this is one of the best suites launched in recent times.

CorelDraw Graphics Suite X3 is not cheap software either. However, the full versions of the software help you in getting the most out of your creative instincts and this is something which is really the reason to buy and use software. However, if you are an old Corel hand, it is unlikely that you will get on to this upgrade as there is simply no compelling reason to do so.
