Weaknesses: Expensive when you consider single installation policy and needs a lot of hardware resources

Software upgrades are usually no fun. The promise to 'change' the way you work and put you through a long upheaval of trying to learn the new system. So before you venture out with an upgrade, make sure that you really need it. Well, that’s' my statement of caution to you….other than that, upgrading to Windows XP Professional should really change the way you work. The software has many user-friendly features which is geared at providing top notch performance to users.

The Windows XP Professional is very resource hungry so it might be a mistake to install it on a low-configuration PC which might already be creaking with the current load of softwares. Other than that, the XP Professional cannot be installed in multiple machines and this makes it an expensive affair. The networking features and troubleshooting options enhances the value offers to users, but you can skip installation of the XP Professional if these things are not priority.

Overall, the Microsoft XP Professional does not come with too many bugs (which is a relief!) and you can enjoy the various user admin tools which are available in it. The operating system is most suitable for a professionally networked environment and works quite well. In fact the XP Professional is a good response to all the open source operating systems when it comes to performance.
