Where do I start when it comes to the EOS 40D from Canon? This new mid-level DSLR in not really a knee-jerk reaction from Canon but an action to combat a slew of other new cameras and a genuine attempt to upgrade its earlier DSLR and create a better camera in the offing. The 40D EOS comes with high pixel strength of 10.1 mega pixel which is really a major improvement from previous models.

The ergonomically-friendly digital camera lets you take some cool pictures in almost any settings. This adds tremendous value to the amateur photographer and makes the EOS 40D worth the hefty price tag it sports. There are many small added advantages which lets you enjoy the camera…Live View for example lets you view potential shots and has good display options while shooting. It is these small user-friendly features which makes the Canon EOS 40D quite personal.

The LCD display of the camera comes at a largish three inches and this makes it quite easy to use. The camera however still does not qualify for a professional's companion status since it lacks a wide range of manual controls and there is still minor background noise which can be seen in some of the images. Pricing front also holds back a few users but at the end of the day, the overall satisfaction index of the camera is at a good eight on ten.
