Full Review
For such a reasonably priced phone, this little guy packs a lot of punch. Along with your basic telephonic capabilities, you’ve got connectivity via BlueTooth, WAP, GPRS, and MMS, so you can call, text, e-mail, all from the same device. It has a nice large, sharp screen that does an excellent job of displaying photos and videos, much better than you’d expect from what is, first and foremost, a phone.
The L6 has a stunning amount of memory, so you can store a lot of images and files. There’s a clock and organizer, and a currency converter. For people who like to keep track of their appointments on their phone, there’s a really nice personal organizer. The screen holds up well in bright light (although very bright direct sunlight will still wash out the display) and the battery holds up well for a good long time.
Really, this is what most people want from a mobile phone – easy to read and use buttons, plus the right mix of features so that you can go as high tech as you like. Or not. If you have no use for BlueTooth, don’t bother with it. Nobody says that you absolutely have to send text messages or e-mails from your phone. These features are nice to have, but god knows everyone doesn’t use them.
If forced to pick a bad feature on this phone, I’d have to admit that the Web browser drags. But since I don’t spend much time surfing the ‘net on my phone, that’s not a big issue for me. For everything else, though, the L6 is a nifty little device with lots of options for keeping in touch with friends, family and colleagues. And it’s reasonably priced – when you think about all you get for the money, this is one heck of a great phone.
