This 6.0 megapixel beauty is perfect for almost all of your shooting needs. One of the first things you notice about this digital camera is how cool it looks. Glancing at it in the store, it almost beckons you to buy it with its sleek vertical design. It has a 3x optical zoom lens, so no matter how far away you are, you're sure to get that perfect shot. It's fast too. Canon has included a DIGIC II processor, which means no waiting times between shots which is all too often the case with other cameras. The LCD screen is large – 3 inches – and you can even switch to a wide angle function if you're aiming at a larger picture. If you like night shots, this is certainly the camera for you, as you can use the night display function for a helpful treat. It even offers a series of scene modes like beach and underwater to help you with shots that just normally aren't possible with a camera like this one. If you're looking to change your shots from the normal day to day photography, try the “My Colours” function. You can change before or after you shoot, which means even if you forget about it, you don't have to retake the shot. You can shoot widescreen stills, and the Print/Share button on this one, like all Canon models is super easy to use. It does come with a fairly small memory card, but most digitals on the market do, and you can upgrade it at a fairly low cost. All in all, it's a little bit expensive, but you get some great quality shots for the price. Even if this is the first digital camera you've ever purchased or used, you simply won't be disappointed with this model.
