Full Review
I needed a digital camera which gave me the facility to capture both video as well as still images when on the go. The Canon MV 920 fitted the bill not just in the feature list but also came in well within my budget. The MV 920 is a fantastic improvement from the previous versions of Canon digital video cameras as it has the much-needed image stabilization software which helps mitigate the effects of a shaky hand.

The MV 920, like other Canon photography products is very user friendly and lets even young photography enthusiasts starts shooting within moments of purchasing the camera. As most of the functions are general and easy to understand, it provides good quality output almost instantaneously. Thus it is quite likely that you end up spending hours with the digital camera. This is when the biggest issue with the phone hits home and you get to know that the camera does not have a long lasting battery.

The MV 920 battery tends to last for just a little over an hour and the lack of spare batteries along with the pack results in not having an immediate solution when the battery dies on you. If you intend to use the camera for a long time, you would need to chip in the a spare battery as well. Another cost-cutting measure seems to be the lack of a USB cable along with the camera. I think it should be a mandatory requirement with all digital products…after all, a USB Cable is almost as important as the battery!

The Canon MV 920 gets an eight on ten for its durability and ease of use and though it is perfect for amateurs, it does not meet the stringent requirements of a professional photographer.

Hi Sundar, you will need to transfer the video you want from your camcorder to your PC and from your PC you can burn the video onto the CD. You will need some kind of software that will do this for you, I'm sure when you bought this camera there was a CD that came with it which you can use to do this.
