The DC 100 from the house of Canon has some really easy-to-use features which lets even a five year old point and shoot videos in a jiffy! Small and nifty, the camera fits into the palm easily and has buttons which can be operated with the thumb. The camcorder is perfect for taking home videos but cannot be recommended for professional use as one of the major issues is that it does not record too well in limited lighting.

The picture quality provided by the camcorder easily ranks an eight on ten (of course do keep in mind the quality decline when shooting in dim light) and the handy size of the camera is definitely in its favor. However, like most products in this category, the Canon Camcorder is hungry for resources and tends to consume batteries like Godzilla. It is highly recommended that you carry spares with you at all times.

Since this camcorder does not have an in-built image stabilizer (it is not expected either, considering that the price of this camcorder is well within US$ 500), you do need to make sure that you have steady hand while shooting. This is quite easy to achieve as the camera is small and light and does not cause any strain while holding it for a long time which is obviously a result of its ergonomically friendly design.

The Canon DC 100 delivers everything it promises and more. The batteries are also quite thin and the disks are reasonably priced and you can keep finalizing the disks as you continue to have fun with the Camcorder. Go ahead, shoot the good times and create vivid memories for life!
