Strengths: Better build offering higher portability, enhanced storage and a highly improved battery life

Weaknesses: No FM or video

If the 4GB iPod Nano does not sport enough memory for you…fret not! The second generation doubles the storage capacity at 8GB and gives users an opportunity not only enjoy a higher storage but also a more stable battery life as well! The iPod Nano 8GB does have an excellent playback option but it does not come in the same level of bright colors as the 4GB version but that is hardly a reason for anyone to change their mind about the new iPod.

The sound quality also feels marginally improved with the new iPod Nano but one does feel a bit let down when you realize that there is no FM radio and it does not offer even the smallest of video viewing capabilities even when you can view some images on the small screen. The iPod Nano build is much better than the first generation one and the MP3 players looks sturdier as well.

Price continues to be an entry barrier for the iPod Nano 8GB as it is on the higher side than most of the A grade MP3 players and yet again the Apple branding comes into play to give the Nano an added advantage. So if it is video you are looking for, opt for the iPod Video which also has fantastic storage (and a fantastic price tag) as well but is small and beautiful is what you are looking for, then the iPod Nano 8GB should fit right in!
