One thing is sure…the Panasonic TH 42PZ700A gives significant competition to the Sony TV of the same size when it comes to quality as well as price. The 42 inches HD Plasma is also ahead of its time when it comes to technical compatibility and inter-portability. The one thing you really enjoy with the Panasonic is the Viera Link which allows you to operate multiple devices with a single report…provided they are all Panasonic devices.

The Japanese excellence level is apparent when you compare the built of the Plasma TV….it looks small but offers an excellent viewing size which is really what you are looking for. Panasonic also offers excellent warranty of the television which promises to be more than hundred thousand hours. With the 1080p resolution, the look and feel of the television offers a high value home entertainment purchase and is highly recommended by owners.

Though the television is fairly new, it offers a promising option for anyone who is looking for a large sized plasma television at a more or less reasonable price. Though Panasonic faces tough competition, the TH 42PZ700A is likely to shut some critics for good. The bottom line? Just go ahead and buy the Panasonic 42 inches….you are going to love showing it off at the next house party!

I wonder if 1080p is worth the extra cost? What are the 1080p signal sources? Blue Ray, Playstation 3. Anything else? Is television ever going to be broadcast in 1080p? These are not rhetorical questions. I really need to decide if I should go all the 1080p way.

Blue Ray will now become the default DVD standard. So yes its worth it. Also the primary reason i would buy a Full HD TV is for console video games to be at their hightest definition. Will they broadcast in 1080p? I believe they already do. I know Channel 10 does with 10HD

I believe it's totally worth it. I bought a HD camcorder a couple of months ago.

I capture the video on my computer and then stream it via EVA8000

onto a plazma TV. The quality of the result is outstanding.
Blue Ray is now the HD standard and we'll see more and more HD movies out there. And for those a HD TV is a must. Foxtel is planning to broadcast in HD soon. So yet again, it's worth it.

I think the highest quality television broadcast is actually 1080i, which is slightly less image quality than 1080p. Don't know whether it makes a lot of difference to the naked eye.
