Size does impress and this is no where more apparent than in the case of the 50 inch Samsung Plasma TV with colors so sharp that you might end up thinking that the images are going to pop out of the screen. Some users might find the color contrast a bit too sharp but this comes in real handy when you are video gaming on this plasma TV. Ensure that you have enough viewing depth and being stuck too close to the television might result in a spinning head after some time!

The Samsung PS50P91FDX is 1080 compatible and that makes it a purchase which is future-proof for at least a few years. Other than that, the depth of images and the black is also quite good making it one of the best televisions in this size and at this price. Highly recommended, if you are not able to locate a Samsung to compare it with the other televisions of similar size, I would recommend that you wait till one shows up and then make the right choice.

Last but not the least, the Samsung 50 inch Plasma is pretty impressive on the looks front as well. The black matt finish of the television gives you ample opportunity to make it the focal point of the room. So if you have decided on buying 50 inch plasma and have a budget for it, the Samsung PS50P91FDX is the best match and you are likely to be engaged for quite some time with all the new added features built-in the television!

I wonder at what picture size do you say enough playing with screens, I'm getting a projector? Is 50 inches a practical size for a TV set?

The TV will always display a brighter more superior picture in my opinion.

I agree. CRT screens seem to have a better picture that LCD or Plasma.
