Easy-to-handle Tablet PC from Compaq

Strengths: Good battery life, nice screen and pretty good overall features as a Tablet PC

Weaknesses: Slightly on the heavier side and technical support is really pathetic

I am not sure why the Compaq TC4400 is referred to as a Tablet PC…in fact; it is pretty much like a laptop and the only thing that is lacking is that the PC does not have sufficient RAM. The TC4400 is small in size than the average laptop but the screen still manages to offer a pretty good view even when held afloat in one hand. Do keep in mind that the RAM capability of the HP Compaq TC4400 is not meant for high-end computing activities.

Though the keyboard looks quite small, it is pretty good and the battery life also manages to last you a fairly long time. There are intuitive features which make the Compaq Tablet PC quite a cool gadget and that includes an auto-adjuster for screen brightness ( I wish that was there in my laptop!). as a Tablet PC, the TC4400 has limited appeal for users since the objective is to buy it for computing on-the-go and that is one of the reasons why this PC is not so popular.

Apart from the product design, one of the biggest issues I face with Compaq unit is that the company offers very poor technical support and on-site service. Even though the battery life of the TC4400 is much better than other Compaq product, a replacement within warranty period draws up a blank from the technical support team. The lack of clarity on costs of replacement is also a big put-off and this is one reason why I am unlikely to consider a Compaq machine anytime soon.
