Lenovo SL500 is a business laptop and has a large keyboard along with a solid build. SL500 is a low budget laptop designed for the small business segment. It has a glossy back lid and is covered with black matte plastic. This prevents it from catching fingerprints and other marks. It has a 15.4 inch matte finish display with Intel Core 2 Duo processor. It has a built-in webcam and 2GB RAM. Horizontal viewing angles of the display are good. Though the display is bright enough for internal use, working outside in the sun may cause some problems.

The SL500 laptop has in-built stereo speakers with good sound quality. The laptop has a fingerprint sensor which is located to the right of the touchpad. The performance of the laptop is acceptable. Heat dissipation of the laptop is excellent. It also makes very less noise while working. The battery life of Lenovo SL500 laptop is good. The laptop also has Intel Wireless WiFi Link 5100 ABGN WLAN module and Gigabit Ethernet by Realtek. An nVIDIA Geforce 9300M GS graphics card is integrated with the Lenovo SL500 laptop. Excellent wireless communication is provided by the SL500.

The laptop works well with Microsoft Windows Vista Business operating system. The only problem with this laptop is the fact that, it is loaded with too many software. It weighs around 3 kilos and comes with a 1 year warranty. This is an ideal choice for business notebooks within budget.
