The Fuji FinePix S2000HD Digital Camera joins the versatile lineage of Fuji’s megazoom digital cameras. Even the most amateur photographer can take splendid pictures using this easy-to-use camera.

Fuji proclaims that this 10-megapixel FinePix S2000HD Digital Camera is compact, but when compared to other compact digital cameras it is slightly bigger in size. Impressive feature of the S2000HD digital camera is the high-quality lens which incorporates an amazing 15x optical zoom capability, which allows you to capture even the minutest of details very clearly. However, you need to bear with its slow processing; it takes almost 1.9 seconds to spring to action. Thankfully the shutter lag of 0.5 second in bright conditions and 0.8 second in dim is acceptable.

The Fuji FinePix S2000HD Digital Camera has some worthwhile additions to the feature list. The specially designed Instant Zoom option captures even moving objects in high-zoom settings. Another very useful option is the Zoom Bracketing which takes three shots of sequential rates of high zoom magnification with a single press of the shutter.

This digital camera includes various shooting modes like the Dual IS (Image Stabilization) Mode, which minimises the effect of camera shakes and subject blur. In addition to a wide range of shooting modes, S2000HD also offers a number of versatile scene positions and convenient playback modes. The major highlight of the Fuji FinePix S2000HD Digital Camera is its HD-compatible function. This is the first Fuji model to offer HD-compatibility for both stills and movies with HDTV systems.

While Fuji has introduced much advanced technologies to ensure that the S2000HD delivers perfect picture, it still does not look extraordinary. It disappoints with low level of fine detail and inconsistent white balance.

This versatile super-zoom model even with minor drawbacks is good value for money.
