Strengths: Good speakers, attractive home page, good quality video and sound playback, expandable memory, inexpensive.

Weaknesses: Bad interface, Screen is not sensitive enough, bad quality stylus, cheap and hollow looks, China manufacturer, outdated firmware.

First things first, this 2.8-inch touch screen Mp4 player is a “Made-in-China” product, so don’t expect much in terms of build quality. This player is designed to perform nine functions including music player, video player, photo viewer, voice recorder, FM radio, FM recording, game player, e-book viewer, & USB drive. It plays MP3, WMA, Wav audio files; AVI videos, and JPG photos. Videos are played at a resolution of 320x240, and other video formats have to be converted into this format, with the help of the convertor that comes with the installation CD.

The firmware is very outdated and cannot even be upgraded. The user interface is really pathetic and will appeal to no one. The music list looks below par and so does the player display format. Having said all this, the player does offer good quality sound and video playback, which, by the way, is its strength. Unlike Apple products, you don’t need iTunes to transfer your music files; instead you can just copy music from one folder to another.

There is no facility to connect to the internet, but considering the price you can’t expect anything more. One thing that is not available in Apple products, but is present in this player is the FM feature. You can listen to FM radio and save up to 20 FM stations. Expandable memory up to 2GB is another plus.

These players suit those who can’t afford to buy the costly players and are ready to compromise on many features, just to listen to music and see videos at a cheaper price.
