Full Review
The TomTom 4.3-inch is a beauty from its makers, sleek, groovy, silky build is sure to outdate its rivals. Despite its sleek and compact design, the TomTom 4.3-inch GO 720 GPS is loaded with features for hassle-free navigation. This clearly passes out the information that it is not going to be a problem in shifting the system from one car to another or carry it around in a rental car for calculating the trip.
The GO720 comes with an intuitive user interface, making basic navigation tasks pretty simple with its array of large menu buttons. Loaded with new maps and free software upgrades from TomTom's "Home" service gives the GO720 GPS an edge over its competitors and as well is future proof. The map graphics are well displayed on the 4.3-inch touch screen. Although the graphics lose in branding, yet is quite effective. The all new text-to-speech of "turn left on to Bent Street" is significantly better than a generic "turn left".
The head phone jack, Bluetooth, connector port, memory expansion slot are added advantages but absence of external volume control lets the GO720 GPS down. The GO720 scores on the entertainment quotient too, you can play your favourite tracks while youre still navigating. Though you can avail Bluetooth hands-free calls on the TomTom GO720, it is quite buggy at times, causing inconvenience.
All in all, for the same price of the TomTom 4.3-inch GO720 GPS, you can get a better one from the same manufacturer. Just dont go by looks, it is good for basic navigation, but still could have improved.
