Full Review
Sony Ericsson has unveiled yet another quality product, the W995, for a complete mobile calling experience. The easy to handle design of the slider with a stand at the back is amazing. The stand, actually a silver flip-out, serves to hold the mobile either horizontally or vertically. The 2.6-inch screen, a well-spaced number pad, the keys on the front and sides for easy launch of functions, calling and volume controls add to the elegance of the mobile.
As with the other W-series, the W995 also has got the Walkman that entertains you with excellent music. The Walkman includes album art, shake control, TrackID and an adjustable bass level. What more! The Media Go feature lets you enjoy videos that you have transferred from your PC without worrying about the formats and resolution that vary between them. A 3.5mm headset jack, not seen in any of the earlier Sony-Ericsson mobiles, is found on the top edge of the casing. So, enjoy music as you charge the phone.
The 8.1 megapixel camera with a 16x magnification makes photography and video recording easy. The camera features face detection, image stabilisation and Sony’s PictBridge compatibility. The Sony Ericsson W995 is no means less than other entry-level cameras.
To top these, is its stereo Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, USB mass storage and direct access to YouTube, transforming the phone more unique. It offers so much, but still the battery life holds good. The battery is long enough to support two full-length films. Through this special attribute, Sony leads ahead besides its competitors. When you consider the memory, the mobile has a 118 MB of built-in memory and an additional memory of an 8 GB M2 card can be used.
As a final word, it is a handy phone and also stands as an exclusive phone with features unseen before.
