Full Review
The LG 42PQ20D, a 42-inch widescreen plasma TV, is a perfect choice for enjoying anything that you watch. The swivel stand and the wide viewing angles allow comfortable viewing from any corner of the placed room. The 1366 x 768 pixels resolution is quite sufficient for perfect viewing. Other capabilities that add to enhance the picture quality are its native aspect ratio of 16:9 and the Dynamic MEGA contrast ratio.

Though the picture resolution is not much refined, it is well complemented by the 600Hz Sub-field Driving technology. Conventional plasma technology uses 8 sub-fields per frame that is a total of 400Hz sub-field drive, however the 600Hz Sub-field Driving technology displays twelve sub-fields per frame, thus making the images exceptionally clear with reduced motion blurs. This gives out extremely great performance for HD resolution display.

Being a HDTV ready television serves as a complete entertainer. Though a built in HD tuner is included, the worst part is that you are required to get a separate receiver to view the HDTV channels. There are HDMI interfaces that give you exact reproduction of what is being transmitted. There are not many advanced connectivity options that come along.

The two invisible speakers with Dolby Digital Surround Sound give out thumping sound to make your viewing experience more enjoyable. The LG 42PQ20D has a lot of features that add to give great viewing experience, but for those who want to add on peripherals, this TV may not be the choice.
