The Laser M35 GPS navigation device seeks to build a reputation with new features, while still maintaining the price relatively low. This GPS is one of the first locally developed GPS navigation units to offer a customised text-to-speech function. Unlike any others, it boasts 4 GB of local council mapping data from around the country. In terms of design, there is nothing really incorrect with the look and feel of this GPS, but it doesn’t match up to the finish or design of some of the more accepted GPS brands like Navman, TomTom and Garmin.

The Laser M35 states its 3.5-inch touch screen as anti-glare, but it is proved that direct sunlight makes the screen hard to read. The most significant feature of this GPS is the speedometer and the trip statistics page display, which measures and shows the information of the journey. Adding up to these capabilities, the Laser M35 also includes eBook reader and photo viewer.

Best of all, it has safety camera alerts, intuitive menus and easy usable interface. This GPS comes with useful re-route and detour features, and it also allows you to find the correct address by postcode, street name or suburb. It has the most unique Quick Step feature, which allows for hassle-free address entry.

Despite some negligible shortcomings, the Laser Navigation M35 GPS System is a good buy for good navigation.
