Strengths: Very affordable, high quality DVD player which is so sleek that you keep thinking that you might break it

Weaknesses: Remote is a bit bulky and there is no Real Dolby sound

It is so sleek that it makes you wonder if there is anything inside it at all. The Sony DVPN 76H is a superb DVD player and works with practically all formats very easily. Other than that, the image quality of this player is very good and comes with built-in DivX Playback which results in even better viewing. The only thing missing is Real Dolby effect, but you are unlikely to miss it if you have a set of good speakers.

As already mentioned, the picture quality of the Sony DVPN 76H is incomparable….what also comes as a good surprise is the range of features which can give even the most sophisticated DVD player a run for its money. The mention of money brings me to the price of the DVD player which is very reasonable and you don’t even need to think twice before buying it. Do remember to keep the player carefully and not place any heavy objects on it as it looks very fragile!

It difficult to fault such a value-for-money DVD player and any fault can be set off by the advantages it has. The remote is slightly bulky and does not control the TV (provided you have a Sony) too well. Apart from this, everything pretty much falls into place with the HDMI DVD player and I really like it as it is the only DVD player around which offers so much for so little.
