Sleek and stylish, it is easy to consider this Canon PowerShot as a ladies camera. Not only does the Canon PowerShot IXUS 60 have a very trendy look, it is fast and very portable. One can slip the camera into a small purse or even the pocket without any problem. The photo quality of the IXUS 60 also gets full marks from critics.

As a point-and-shoot camera, the Canon PowerShot managed to deliver excellent quality images which can grace your mantelpiece. The PowerShot IXUS 60 also manages to compete very well in the category of compact cameras and it does not use any flimsy parts which might make the camera susceptible to damage.

But like most products (with a very few exceptions), there is a price which you need to pay for a compact sized product and in this case, it is the battery life which has been compromised. The battery life is very poor and you need to carry a bunch of spares at all times if you do not want to be left high and dry. The trouble does not end here and you are likely to see some photographs with the redeye effect as well when shooting with this Canon camera.

The disadvantages of the camera results in it being stuck in the home-user category and it is unlikely that it will be used by any professional photographers specially since they do not provide very good ISO 800 images either. The Canon PowerShot IXUS 60 is a good buy only if you need to use it for recreational photography and are likely to appreciate the portability and ease of use by way of user friendly navigation.
