First up, you will be taken aback with the tons of stuff that come with the Garmin Zumo 550 GPS- a USB cable, a car charger, an AC charger and you can just go naming them. It is very easy to get started with this GPS.

The Garmin Zumo 550 GPS has a 3.5-inch UV resistant touch screen with a white backlight. It is at par with the Tom Tom Rider’s display. The operation is simpler than the Rider. The Garmin Zumo 550 is incorporated with turn-by-turn text- and voice-guided directions. It also has text-to-speech functionality, so you actually get a speaking system.

The Zumo 550 meets IPX7 standards. It means that it will work just fine even if it accidentally falls in three feet of water (for up to 30 minutes).You can use the integrated Bluetooth for hands-free calling. The audio quality is great at both ends. You also get an awesome MP3 player on the Zumo. The battery life is impressive. The presence of an altimeter and a compass would have perfectly complemented the boatload of features.
