LG has always given something exciting to the world from its high-end R&D lab and its new innovation, the LG 42LH50YD 42-inch LCD TV cements that belief. It gives tough competition to fancy looking models from Samsung, Sony and Panasonic with its stunning design that features a piano-black finish and a clear plastic trim. I don’t know why LG TV designers thought of placing the side ports a hand-length into the side of the panel owing to which it’s pretty hard to connect USB key or HDMI devices at ease. LG should look into this quibble to lead its competitors in the final run.

The LG 42LH50YD 42-inch LCD TV is loaded with eco-features like an Intelligent Sensor, a mechanical power-off switch and the ability to turn the screen-off while the audio is still playing. The newly introduced 200Hz mode is of no use and it’s pretty basic when compared to the Sony Z5500. To rescue the 42LH50YD from this effect, LG has integrated TruMotion function to deliver judder-free motion pictures in their true clarity.
