You can have your favourite gadgets and Window links handy on the desktop, by managing them on the Windows Side and Gadget bar. New interface, innovative ways to organise and search and a lot of entertainment options are some of the features that may kindle the thought of owing it.

The Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic has its own demerits. You need to keep at least 10-20% of your drive space empty always for maintaining the system speed. When you face any problems while installing, just put the system in safe mode before installation. You might require lot of resources to run this operating system.

There are not many compelling features in the Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic that necessitates an upgrade from the Windows XP, but it would be a good choice for basic computing needs.
