A new addition to the Walkman range of mobile phones, the Sony Ericsson W705 Mobile Phone is a slider model with most demanding features. This 3G enabled walkman phone bundles in brilliant music features and enhanced wireless connectivity. Sony has been giving tough competition to other global brands with WalkMate fitness utility. Features including, TrackID, SenseME, shake control and music recognition, which were seen on the previous models of Sony Walkman series is repeated on the W705 too. Other high-end goodies are Walkman 3.0 music player, Google Maps, YouTube service in Media Center and Picture editor/blogging. What more does a multimedia addict require!

With great inbuilt functionalities set in, the lack of a headphone socket and no support for infrared connectivity gives it a second thought for few. Sony’s much hyped 3.2 megapixel camera with 3x zoom capability has lived up to its expectations due to its capability to take fantastic JPEG images. All the music and video fanatics can load this stunning model with favourite MPEG4/3GP (H.263) videos and MP3/AAC audio files. Under the 2.4-inch display screen is its standard controls held side-by-side. The large screen takes a toll on the controls making it rather small for people with large fingers. Also its unstable keypad lighting makes it uneasy.

Sony could have added GPS functionality to its array of advanced features on the Walkman W705 model. If you are in search of a fully loaded multimedia mobile phone, the W705 is a great buy.
