Strengths: Large display section, good maps, hands free option, and mid-range price

Weaknesses: Cannot plan trips with multiple stops at one go, no USB cable, battery life is short and performance is sluggish sometime

I recently bought the Navman F40 GPS unit in the hopes that the days of getting lost in new locations will be a thing of the past. This F40 is a fairly new launch and I was heavily impressed with the large LCD screen which does not wash out under the sun and does not make the overall unit very bulky either. The touch screen is just right…not too sensitive and not too hard to use either.

I was able to figure out that the battery life of the unit is not too great and you would need to carry spares with you for user. Lack of USB cable makes it slightly difficult to connect the Navman with other devices. However, the Navman keeps usability on high priority and it also offers excellent parking guides and a pretty good fuel indicator. Another drawback which I could make out in the unit was that it did not offer an option for trips which included more than one stop. Strange but true.

When you compare the navigation unit’s functionality and price, there is no doubt that the Navman F40 is an excellent buy is likely to offer reliable services thanks to its exhaustive database of maps. You can go hands-free with the model and this enhances the F40’s appeal to buyers like me who are usually traveling along and need a navigation unit which delivers everything it promises (even if it is does it a bit slowly.).
