The D40x from Nikon is an improved version of the Nikon D40 and though there are very few differences which are noticeable on the exterior of the camera, the functionality do have a significant change. The mega pixel strength is much improved and as a Digital SLR, the Nikon D40x works well at 10 megapixel and the light camera (though it looks a lot more heavier) is very easy to use and focus.

Focus brings us to the fact that the D40x does not come with auto focus and that is probably the biggest downside with the camera. However, the other features of the camera make up for this shortcoming and the image quality is excellent (with a 10 mega pixel strength it is unlikely that you will go wrong). There is a large LCD display as well but not one which includes the status of the camera we well. The interface of the camera is very good and is highly improved from previous model of D40.

The overall configuration of the camera is good enough to make it suitable for professional photography and the price of the camera is also likely to encourage serious photographers towards the camera. The camera is ready to start clicking as soon as you start it off and this makes it an excellent choice where action photography is required and you cannot afford any lag time. The Nikon D40x is miles ahead of the D40 and this is why it comes highly recommended as well.

I am sure that the Choice On LIne digital camera review states that the Nikon D40x has auto focus capability, Now I'm Confused.
