Strengths: Compact size, good colour resolution, powerful processor

Weaknesses: Print speed, no duplex printing, not a clear display

The HP CP1515n laser colour printer is custom designed for use in home or in a small office. It features a 16-character LCD display and controls sealed in a glossy smoked acrylic cover. I can understand the protective function of this cover, but it works against its functionality. The display doesn’t have a back light, which along with the overhead light illumination makes it really hard to read the display and understand the characters. For stunning colour prints, it has a brilliant colour resolution of 600 dpi x 600 dpi. The HP CP1515n printer’s 450 MHz processor helps to speed up the printing process.

Some of the important functions worth mentioning are power/data and error indicators, five buttons for navigating menu options and also cancelling a print job. Another minor drawback is that it doesn’t have a second paper tray, as the single paper tray can hold only 150 sheets. It is not capable of duplex printing either. With its compact size, it’s a perfect desktop printer. The HP CP1515n colour printer can be set up and installed quickly that makes it even more appealing.

The HP CP1515n laser colour printer is costlier than the Lexmark C544DN all-in-one printer and offers a print speed of 12 ppm, which is very less when compared to Lexmark’s 25 ppm print speed. Overall, don’t expect this printer to give you very high-quality and quick prints, but at the same time it’s quite affordable.
