The Canon PowerShot SX200 is much more advanced than its predecessor, the Canon SX110. It comes in three attractive colours blue, black and red and also has a dashing look compared to the SX100 and the SX110. It’s a compact ultra zoom camera with a 12X zoom lens for taking brilliant wide-angle shots. The mechanical and electronic image stabilisation controls help to take better pictures. Even though HD video recording at a resolution of 1,280 x 720 at 30fps is a great feature, the absence of zooming while recording videos is a complete impairment. For quick menu navigation and easy access, the SX200 digital camera features user-friendly controls such as a scroll wheel, four standard buttons and a directional pad on the back.

With the advanced shooting options like scene-recognising Smart Auto mode and Easy mode and settings to change aperture and shutter priority, the Canon PowerShot SX200 easily outperforms the Panasonic’s ZS3. It is also easy to handle and carry compared to the Canon SX110 and the SX100 due to its ultra-compact design.

The Canon PowerShot SX200 gives best results in bright lighting and at low ISO settings. Even though the mechanised flash is not up to the mark, it can be overlooked for its excellent video quality and other brilliant features.
