Realism on movies gets redefined with the Panasonic TX-37LZD800A LCD TV that is far more advanced in technology than its predecessors. Panasonic’s apex design is the same for both the plasma and LCD range of televisions. For HD viewing, it features HD tuner, three HDMI ports and a Sub-Pixel Controller.

One minor drawback is the placement of the SD card slot at the back of the television, making it difficult to access. The default picture mode produces slightly soft pictures. It shows relatively good performance for Blu-ray and DVD movies with minor changes to the settings. It also features 10,000:1 contrast ratio to portray vivid blacks. The In-Plane Switching (IPS) Alpha Panel for high-quality, off-axis viewing provides excellent view from any part of the room. The same old problematic remote control that was found in former models is repeated in the Panasonic TX-37LZD800A LCD TV.

The non-availability of the user mode and fine calibration controls are problems that continue with all the Panasonic models. You will be blown away by the high-end TV’s sound quality. The music mode especially sounds exceptional. In spite of not having fancy design of the LG Scarlet or Sony X series models, the Panasonic TX-37LZD800A LCD TV scores an edge with good picture quality.
