The new Toshiba NB100 is the perfect for us in home, office and in schools and colleges. Toshiba's renowned build quality makes the NB100 ideal for educational purposes. It is built with a tough and stylish chassis that encloses everything you need to surf the web, check your mails, work on documents or enjoy music, photos or videos.

This netbook is extremely easy to carry as it features a small 8.9-inch screen size and a thickness of about 3.3cm. Toshiba offers several different versions of its notebook, which is available with a choice of Linux - Ubuntu or Windows XP Home operating system. You can also configure them with memory and hard drive capacities of your choice. Of course, core components like Intel Atom processor and Intel integrated graphics remain the same.

It has got a genuine backlight display for optimal viewing even under bright sunlight. You will find the USB Sleep-and-Charge feature extremely useful, as it lets you charge your mobile devices even when your Toshiba NB100 is turned off.

On the downside, the battery life is not so convincing and calls for frequent recharge. Considering the overall performance, this netbook is a general-purpose product which is not ideal for business professionals.
