The Samsung PS42 B450 Plasma TV has quite an imposing stance both in technology and design. Its 42-inch screen is enclosed in black glossy frame making it look in every bit as good as its picture quality. Visuals are totally freed of light glare by the FilterBright system. Clear and seamless pictures are obtained even in fast moving scenes due to the 600Hz Subfield Motion system with a 0.001 ms response time. A resolution of 1,024 x 768 and a high contrast ratio ensure in depth richness in black and colour visuals.

The model comes with full High Definition support with an inbuilt HDMI card and tuner which removes the need for a set top box. The audio output is satisfactory with two 10 W speakers and a digital audio output port which can be connected directly to a home theatre system. The Wide Colour Enhancer 2 enables the display of vibrant colours without smudging or overlapping.

With the Anynet+ function, the Samsung PS42 B450 Plasma TV also allows you to control any device connected through the HDMI port. With so many merits on its side, the offering seems to have been let down by the price which is on the premium segment.
