Meets the basic MP3 Player functionalities but not for good listening experience

The E100 pretty much comes with almost all features right from FM tuner, voice recorder to expandable memory and video player. The best thing is that all these features on a single pack are available for low price.

iRiver has always succeeded in providing fissionable and modern designed products for consumers. The E100 falls under this high-design category. However, the E100 MP Player fails to impress with its ruggedness, the plastic used isn’t top notch and feels cheap while handling, but still the body is designed to resist scratches.

Adding some strong points, the E100 supports an extensive set of audio formats. The sound quality isn’t the best and the stock headphone makes the quality even worse. An external headphone is advisable.

The E100 has a 2.4-inch screen on the front and below the screen is the D-pad and the select key is on the centre of the D-Pad. The screen quality is many steps down when compared to many of its rivals. Videos with bad contrast and grains are the result of this crap screen. Another flaw for the E100 is the insensitive D-pad. The D-pad fails to respond in many situations and requires a hard push on the button to make it work.

The E100 has built in speakers from which no sound can be heard when the user is at a noisy atmosphere. Then expandable memory, FM tuner and recorder are indeed worth mentioning. Basically this isn’t a recommended one for entertainer prone individuals.
