Full Review
Canon is back with a bang with the updated Canon PowerShot SX110 IS digital SLR camera. The modified features include a 9 megapixel sensor with powerful 10X optical zoom lens and a larger 3-inch LCD screen. It comes in stunning silver or black; you can pick your choice. For taking quick and sharp images, it has an Image Stabilization technology with excellent shutter speeds. Even though it is not compact enough to slip it into your pocket, you can ignore that for its stunning features.
In spite of its low cost it doesn’t cut-down effective controls and features all the reliable controls such as shutter-priority, aperture-priority and full manual exposure control. Camera armatures and enthusiasts will find the full auto and multiple scene modes easy to access. The Intelligent Scene Analysis feature based on Photographic Space, automatically determines the best exposure for a wide range of conditions. Some of the coolest scene modes featured by Canon PowerShot are Portrait, Landscape, Night Snapshot, Kids&Pets, Night Scene, Indoor, Foliage, Snow, Beach, Fireworks and Aquarium that you can use to your advantage.
The limited life of the AA batteries acts as a drawback, but with the easy availability of AA batteries, this should not pose a problem. On the whole, the Canon PowerShot SX110 IS is an excellent digital SLR camera at a reasonable price.
