The satellite A3X series has been one of the most popular series from Toshiba. Almost all the new software in town is asking for systems with high configuration. Toshiba’s A300 P7450 fulfills all these needs with the Intel Core 2 Duo 2.5 GHz, 4GB DDR2 RAM, Gigabit LAN and Bluetooth.

Revising the notebooks chassis design every year or two has been Toshibas style and this time Toshiba has got it right with its A300 series. With untrained eyes, all that users can see is 80’s style horizontal lines on piano black chassis that narrow towards the edge but these lines are provided so that the possibilities of getting scratches are very minimal. It is strange that even the keys are given the glossy finish. However, you should learn to live with the finger prints imprinted on the keys. Even the touchpad carries these horizontal lines which makes the laptop look better. The two chrome finish touchpad buttons doesn’t blend with the rest of the laptop and looks out of style.

The 15-inch screen is sufficient for watching movies and playing games. The stereo speakers are amazing and with an S/PDIF jack external quality speakers can be connected with ease. The Dual DVD RW has been fitted but, this would get outdated when the fast growing Blu-ray comes into play. It’s worth its price with basic computing functionalities.
