The Microsoft Windows Vista is the upgraded version of the Windows XP. Though there aren’t much compelling features than its predecessor, Windows XP, if you are really looking out for an OS, then try this one. It runs with a 64-bit processor that fastens your work processes besides looking in for more security.

Very similar user friendly interface with advanced graphical environment just as the XP and the icons also make navigation simpler. A tad of cosmetic changes has been performed on the Start menu, and it also includes the Search function. However, it would have been better if Microsoft had maintained the Search function on the desktop rather it pushing it to the menu bar. You need not worry about the taking a back up of old files while installing the new Windows Vista Home Premium. At the time of installation it automatically imports all data and applications from the previous OS. You can run any previous versioned application in Vista.

Although named as the Home Premium, it serves an enterprise purpose with its value added performance. Microsoft would have considered a one size that fits all OS instead of giving a combination of this and that. One more hindering factor is that you need third-party fax software to avail the facility. Desperate to add on an OS to your new computer, then the Windows Vista Home Premium is stable enough for everyday use.
