Moderate performance from a 10-inch Lenovo Laptop

Weaknesses: Below-average battery life without the 6-cell battery equipped

Everyone needs a laptop which can fit their backpack with ease and that kicks out the competition for the 10-inch laptops in the market. Lenovo has done a good job to make its S10 series top the 10-inch laptop lists.

Under the hood, the Lenovo IdeaPad S10 N270 holds a 1.6GHz processor, 1GB RAM (expandable up to 1.5GB) and a 160GB hard disk. The performance of the laptop is good until and unless the users don’t open too many applications at the same time. The keyboard is too good for a 10-inch series; Lenovo has been generous enough to provide users with big keys which make typing easier than much before. The touchpad size is just 2/5cm large, which is far from ideal and calls for an external mouse for better application.

The battery life is not rewarding and very low when compared with its rivals. A 6-cell high capacity battery is available which increases the battery life and the whole system gets mounted in the rear when fitted with it. The mounting actually makes the typing part easier and ensures that fresh air enters the cooling system. Best of all is its affordability factor that has pulled the crowd towards it.
