I regret buying this camera!

I previously used an Olympus u10 digital camera (3.2mp) and had no reason to think that this camera would not provide me with similar qualities. However, I am HIGHLY dissatisfied with this product and have since abandoned this item and gone back to using my old digital camera.

Sure, it looks good and has a great display screen, but it is very hard to achieve satisfactory focus using this camera, and that is my major gripe.

Olympus FE-220 has 7.1Mp and looks like other top range digital cameras on the market. It's slim and appealing and seems to be easy for even the most inexperienced user.

I have written extensively to Olympus staff however they were not able to offer much help and I have since had to chalk the purchase down to a waste of money. Perhaps this camera is "too" easy to use, and therefore lacks any kind of functionality that the average user would require. Whilst I have studied photography and am very well aware of how to take good digital photos, this camera is not good for even the most simple style candid shots. I would guess that only 50% of the shots I take (of ANY subject in ANY focal range) are actually in focus. It's very annoying! If this camera was $50 and you could keep it in the bottom of your handbag for emergency shots then I MIGHT recommend it, but otherwise not.

I would definitely NOT recommend this camera.
There is DEFINITELY better out there... I have seen it and unfortunately did not buy it!
