The large screen of the Nokia N76 adds loads of style and makes it a really smart phone as it provides an excellent interface to read messages and navigate within the phone’s operating system. However, the problems also start at this level itself since the clamshell design is not very easy to use and there are some strange locations for plug-and-play features of the phone which makes the entire design a bit doubtful.

On the performance front, the voice quality is acceptable and you also enjoy the fact that the N76 is a universal phone which comes built with quad-band features. The camera and Bluetooth are reasonable though the images from the camera are not much to write home about. This brings us to the multimedia capabilities of the phone which I must say are pretty good as is the usability at the time of using multimedia services. The speakers perform well and you can plug in a headphone quite easily as well.

The battery life of the N76 is average and though the initial look of the phone is very stylish, the lack of intuitive usability reduces the phone’s popularity. Reasonably priced considering the features it offers, the N76 can be your constant companion but do not expect it to perform like a workhorse because it won’t! Sometimes you do feel as if the N76 is an attempt to copy another very popular phone but the clamshell issue quickly dispels this thought. Good phone to use if Nokia fixes the hinge of the phone.
