There is nothing smarter than buying a smart phone which helps you stay connected 24/7 and the BlackBerry RIM 8800 is a leader in that class. BlackBerry needs little or no introduction and it is the push-email feature of the phone which garners plenty of votes from users. The email functionality is further complimented by the fact it has the best QWERTY keypad in mobile phone devices.

The RIM 8800 however, is a pure productivity tool and though it does feature a few entertainment options such as a media player, it does not have a camera which has become such as integral part of mobile phones today. The BlackBerry 8800 does offer quad-band support which lets travelers use the phone just about anywhere. The large display of the phone is vivid and offers easy reading of emails and documents.

As a phone the RIM 8800 does not make the cut…it is a lot larger than the average phone and difficult to use when you are having a fairly long conversation. On the other hand, the battery of the phone is very dependable and this is an obvious advantage of the phone. As a user, the only reason you would buy a BlackBerry phone is not because of its call quality, but due to its email features. However, if entertainment features are equally important to you, you can check out the other models from BlackBerry like the Pearl.
