IBM/Lenovo cannot be credited with good product design. This is apparent when you check out the ThinkPad R60 which looks like a few previous versions of the ThinkPad. The ‘black box’ look of the Think Pads may not look so good, but the overall performance of the laptop and its features makes it a good buy. The R60 has durability as one of its best features which is complimented by a fantastic battery life.

The R60 takes care of users’ requirements quite well and offers two different mouse options including a touch pad ( though slightly smaller than the Compaq versions) as well as a scroll ball. This is one laptop which is tough as well as very reasonably priced and you are likely to find it in most offices as well as a large number of mobile users.

The warranty of three years is also an attractive reason for buying the Lenovo ThinkPad as the telephone based support is quite good. The only reason you can choose not to buy the R60 is if you are very conscience of the ‘boring’ look of the laptop. However, as an IT Manager, the Lenovo R60 has everything you need and it fits right into any work environment.
