Great coffee but patchy performance

The Sunbeam EM6910 Café Series Thermoblock Espresso Machine makes great coffee and is easy to clean. It features the TPTT system (twin pump and twin thermoblock), which lets the user simultaneously steam milk and pour a shot of espresso. Its design is nearly identical to the earlier model, the EM6900. In this case, that works well in Sunbeam’s favour. The EM6910 has a sleek, sophisticated look. Although it sounds great on paper with its commercial size group head and handle, 15 BAR espresso pump, 4 BAR steam pump and advanced programming, the machine’s performance is a bit disappointing.

The Sunbeam EM EM6910 Espresso Machine requires a good grinder to produce good results, which adds to its cost of ownership. In addition, this model has been plagued by reliability issues. Don’t expect it to last longer than three years without having major mechanical problems. The Sunbeam Café Series also makes quite a racket while it works. For large groups, it is not all that quick. For fast, consistent performance, a commercial grade machine rather than this domestic, semi-automatic espresso maker is the way to go.
